SOS EU ALP 3.4.14-gms

The app "SOS EU ALP" (formerly named "Notfall App") leverages your smartphone's GPS capabilities to track your precise location in terms of x and y coordinates. This location data is shared with the relevant rescue coordination centers in Tyrol, South Tyrol, or Bavaria in the event of an emergency.

It proves invaluable in situations necessitating urgent medical attention, aerial or ground rescue operations, water or mountain rescues, or support from the fire brigade.

In emergencies, the app automatically initiates a call to the designated emergency response center (limited to Tyrol or South Tyrol). Simultaneously, all pertinent location details are transmitted, enabling rapid and efficient assistance.

Beyond the borders of Tyrol, South Tyrol, and Bavaria, emergencies are similarly reported to the respective rescue coordination centers. However, in these cases, the app dials 112 without transmitting any location data.

The participating control centers by country are as follows:

• "Leitstelle Tirol" (www.leitstelle.tirol) for Tyrol province (Austria)
• Emergency center of the province of Bolzano/South Tyrol (Italy)
• Emergency centers in Bavaria (Germany)
